"...of all nations"
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always; even until the end of the age. Amen"
Matthew 28: 19-20

A QUICK UPDATE ON... FURLOUGH 2017!
Refresh - This summer was our first official furlough in a few years, and a much-needed change of pace for us. It came just when we needed it, after one of the busiest times of year. While the School of Ministry was winding down, our involvement with the Children's Home was ramping up. For the first two weeks of July, we were in charge of the House of Grace Children’s Home (the Directors were promoting the ministry in the US). Most of the hard work fell to Lilia, as I was shuttling back and forth to Hermosillo with different ministry responsibilities. It truly was a “when it rains, it pours” time, with a 2-day power outage and burned out transformer, cars breaking down, and sicknesses. We were fortunate during this time to have our niece, Elisha, here with us for about five weeks to help with Cassandra and at the children’s home during this time. So, once the directors returned, packed our bags, and hit the road.
Gabriel decided to stay back in Sonora and help at the children’s home. It’s the first furlough we’ve taken in 13 years without him, and he was terribly missed. Because he had to leave for Bible College on August 20, he wanted to take advantage of his vacation time at home in Sonora.
Recharge - One of the greatest blessings of furlough are the opportunities to teach and share. Calvary Sacramento ensured that we had opportunities to teach for four Sundays, plus opened the way for sharing with the College Group, Men’s Breakfast, and the Union Gospel Mission. We also had great times teaching and sharing with Calvary Chapel the Foothills (Cameron Park) and Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley. We’re so grateful to these opportunities!
Reconnect - Our furlough also allowed precious time to reconnect with family, friends, and supporters. We added more than a few miles to our car, travelling to a family reunion in Arcata, funeral in Reno, and visiting time with family throughout Northern and Southern California. Cassandra is, surprisingly, a really good traveler, and between Dramamine and Peppa Pig video series, seemed to manage the car rides well. We were able to experience incredible Indonesian, Thai, and Italian food, along with really special homecooked meals and barbecues all summer long!
One high point was a quick weekend visit to see Gabriel at Bible College in Ensenada. We were able to cross the border and spend an early birthday weekend with Gabe, who is so happy at this campus. It set our worried parents’ hearts to rest to see how much he is growing and maturing there.
Remember – Probably the greatest blessing of the furlough was the opportunity to remember our calling. About halfway through the trip, as always, our sense of “homesickness” and desire to get back to Mexico hit us hard. Thirteen years ago we packed up our car and headed across the border to live in Hermosillo. We returned almost to the day from this trip, just in time to see the fireworks of Mexican Independence Day. We still count it a privilege to serve the Lord here in Mexico, and are excited to see what this year holds for us.
Thank you so much to everyone who blessed us on this furlough – the Hamdyls, our incredible hosts; the Huddlestons and Correias and our whole church family at CC Sac; the Shooks and Robinsons, who let us spread our stuff all over their houses and garage. And so many others We are reminded what a huge family we have, and how the Lord keeps expanding it.
God bless you all!

CCDV MISSIONS TEAMS
In October, 2014, a family from our body was blessed to be able to go on a short term mission trip to Hermosillo Mexico. The ministry accomplished there was facilitated by the Roenspie family (see their Bio below). We are pleased to be able to take another small team this year. Our Mission team has nine members who are meeting monthly to pray and prepare for another short term trip this October. We plan to be involved in outreaches in Hermosillo and the surrounding rural communities as well as visiting and supporting a children’s home. Please keep our team in prayer and watch for our fundraisers if you feel led by The Holy Spirit to support our efforts to Love, Teach and Reach into Sonora, Mexico for Christ’s glory. Enjoy.
Pastor Bob & Jeanne Claycamp
One of my greatest joys is to come alongside a fellow pastor and encourage him by offering a listening ear, prayer, and practical experience from my own ministry journey.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2, NKJV)
My wife, Jeanne, and I have been involved in many different aspects of ministry since 1970, the first year we were married. We spent over eight years dealing with young and wayward folks in street ministry and in Christian house ministry. As a worship leader, song writer, Internet Technician, Bible teacher and Christian life discipler, I’ve watched the Lord use this vessel purely by His grace and mercy over the years.
Now after almost 30 years of pastoring in the same church I had the privilege of planting, my wife and I have a great desire to help our co-laborers in Christ in whatever way that is needed. It might be me filling in as a guest teacher in a couple of services so the pastor and his wife can get away for a week or two. It might be that we could come alongside of the pastor and his wife in a difficult situation in their ministry and life. It might be for me to speak at a men’s retreat, a marriage retreat or to train in Inductive Bible Study Methods.

Since leaving the Philippines in 2003, the Roenspies felt led to go back to Mexico, where both Jeff and Lilia had served before they married. Currently Jeff assists in teaching and preaching at Amor Fraternal, oversees pastoral teaching clinics, and offers support to the coastal church pastors with resources and events. Lilia oversees Sunday School, teaches an evangelistic English as a Second Language Course, and faithfully ministers to her husband and son Gabriel. They are also involved in an outreach to a local homeless shelter and oversee the adolescents group at Amor Fraternal.
Please pray for the Roenspie family, that their love for one another would reflect Jesus’ love!
Pray for their provision and protection.
In September, 2010, the Roenspies took the initial steps in launching a school of ministry, Escuela de Ministerio Calvario. Because Jeff has served for 5 years at the Bible College in the Philippines, he was anxious to see this same resource become a reality for the churches in Sonora. The school has begun slowly, with an emphasis on Inductive study of the Word and service. In 2011, they hope to expand their class offerings and number of students. By the fall of 2011, the goal is to officially change the name to Insitute Biblico Capilla Calvario, Hermosillo, the official satellite campus of the Calvary’s Bible College in Ensenada.
Please pray for the resources, facilities, teachers and students hungry for the Word of God.

Pastor Eddie & Sandi B
The mission of Conviction For Christ Ministry is to reach out to the prison system of the United States. Eddie B., Sandi B., and a team of 39 missionaries from Conviction For Christ Ministries are responsible for 581 Bible Studies in prisons throughout the United States, in addition to holding events in schools and churches, writing, correspondence, and discipleship programs for the cause of Christ. Our desire is to be in every prison in the United States.
For the past 22 years, we have been making our mark in the prison system with thousands coming to know Christ every year. While the doors of the prison systems are opening to our ministry, we have been able to give away over 22,000 CDs to inmates and school children. Conviction For Christ Ministries absolutely needs your prayer as we continue to boldly answer the call that Christ has placed on us!
